Logotype
The Logotype is the brand name of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. It is composed of a bold modern sans-serif typeface to highlight the fact that TSMC leads the pack in modern semiconductor fabrication processes and design.
Pixels
These pixels are a callback to the original logo which featured an illustration of a silicon wafer. These allude to faulty chips that are removed from the wafer during the manufacturing process.
Ring
This ring eludes to the shape of the silicon wafer while allowing the logotype and pixels space to breathe. This simple structure feels more modern and also alludes to motion which signifies TSMC's constant march towards innovation and the cutting edge.
